「次に起こる出来事の為の習作」

Megumi Horiuchiは身体表現（ダンス）をベースに写真、映像、インスタレーションの作品制作をしているアーティストです。彼女は頭の中のイメージや、身体的なイメージをダンスの技法で表現する前に、写真や映像を使いイメージを平面にトレースしていきます。そして、トレースしたイメージを空間に配置することで、イメージを空間で捉え直し、より具体的に客観的に繊細なイメージを身体に回帰させることが出来ます。

今回の展示「次に起こる出来事の為の習作」はこのダンスの技法で表現する前のトレース作業と空間への配置を、実験的に公開する展示です。期間中、彼女の頭にあるイメージを写真や映像で記録しトレースする作業が、実験的に繰り返され増幅され続けます。そのイメージは、自身の身体が破壊に向かっていく感覚に対して繊細にリサーチしたものでまた、同時にセスジヒトリ蛾(Spilarctia graminivora)の飼育の記録も展示されます。全く異なる出来事ですが、彼女の破壊に向かっていく身体の皮膚を通して2つの出来事が関係していきます。

Megumi Horiuchi is an artist who creates photography, video, and installation works based on physical expression (dance). She traces images on a plane using photographs and videos before expressing images in her mind and physical images with dance techniques. By arranging the traced image in space, you can recapture the image in space and more specifically and objectively return the delicate image to your body.

This exhibition, "Study for the next event," is an experimental exhibit showing the tracing work and the placement in the space before expressing it with this dance technique. During the period, the work of recording and tracing the images in her head with photos and videos will continue to be repeated and amplified experimentally. The images are the result of meticulous research into the sensation of my own body heading towards destruction, and at the same time, the records of the breeding of the Spilarctia granivora moth are also exhibited. Although quite different events, the two intertwine through the skin of her destructive body.
